Peter Parker has been Spider-Man for one year. He has saved lives and fought supervillains, but he is still in the process of learning how to be a superhero. Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. offers Peter the chance to train to be a real superhero and become “The Ultimate Spider-Man”. Ultimate Spider-Man is based on the comic book series of the same name written by Brian Michael Bendis. At the 2011 San Diego Comic Con, The Avengers were confirmed as guest-stars on “Ultimate Spider-Man”, including Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and The Incredible Hulk.

Why is it called Ultimate Spider-Man?

Driven by his uncle’s motto that “with great power comes great responsibility”, he modifies his wrestling costume and decides to use his powers under the name “Spider-Man” to do good and help others in a bid to atone for his partial responsibility in his uncle’s death.

Why did Ultimate Spider-Man end?

The reason for this cancellation was seemingly to make room for Marvel’s Spider-Man, the successor, which was much worse in just about every way. It actually made us miss Ultimate Spider-Man, which likely had some more interesting stories left up its sleeve. The wall-crawler deserves a lot better on the small screen.

Is Ultimate Spider-Man over?

Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man TV show will end after its fourth season on Disney XD. The network announced the show will conclude in January 2017, with a two part TV series finale titled, “Graduation Day,” leaving it effectively cancelled. Disney XD will launch a new series, Marvel’s Spider-Man, in 2017.
